Integration with Plunet BusinessManager

Plunet BusinessManager - Business and Translation Management System
Plunet BusinessManager is a web-based platform for managing translation projects. It is integrated with the memoQ server or the memoQ cloud server through a Plunet BusinessManager interface called memoQManager. This is available in standard and advanced versions. When you are using Plunet BusinessManager integrated with memoQ, the project is always created in BusinessManager. If you are using memoQManager, and wish to upgrade to a newer version, please always check with Plunet support whether the new version is already supported.

memoQManager | standard

memoQManager standard allows you to calculate the prices to be charged for the project and the cost of the project.

The functionality includes:
  • import of CSV files under Quotes, Orders and Jobs.
  • Assignment of all price units for translation, proofreading, quality checks, DTP, engineering, etc. using the memoQ analysis.
  • Automatic calculation of translation services and other services, such as proofreading, working with DTP programs and quality checking
  • Assignment of all price units to projected target times
  • Calculation of prices and estimation of deadlines for even complex quotes and orders with a click of the mouse. (Requirement: WorkflowResourceManager Module)
  • Automatic calculation of job costs for translators, proofreaders, quality checkers, DTP specialists, etc. with a simple click of the mouse. ​

memoQManager | advanced

The standard version of memoQManager is quite simple, so we recommend the memoQManager advanced functionality. The main functionality available in memoQManager advanced is:
  • The option of setting up projects in Plunet BusinessManager, which are created simultaneously in the background on the memoQ server.
  • The option to analyse documents and calculate prices automatically, synchronize data between BusinessManager and memoQ server for automatic project updates, create bilingual files (XLIFF, MBD and two-column RTF), as well as various import and export functions.
  • Access to translation memories and terminology databases made available on the memoQ server.
  • Transfer user and other project information such as login data from Plunet BusinessManager to memoQ server.
  • The integration of the two systems, project management has been simplified and automated. The project manager is no longer forced to set up and manage projects in both systems. Cutting redundancy results in savings of time and money and ultimately a more efficient process from beginning to end.
