Kilgray is the creator of memoQ, a computer-assisted human translation tool used by over fifteen thousand translators and hundreds of translation companies and enterprises, including Siemens, Sega, Infor and Hasbro. Tesco’s entire content and World of Warcraft are both translated using memoQ.
 
We are headquartered in Gyula, Hungary, with offices in Budapest and in Germany, and people in Portugal, France, Canada, the UK and the US. We have a diverse team of over 70 people, and we use English as the main language to communicate.

We're currently seeking a Sales Support Engineer to join our growing Sales team. As a Sales Support Engineer you will be the one who makes sure our clients understand how amazing our products and solutions are. First and foremost you will be working with our clients: from small language service providers to mega multinationals with similar, if not the same problems. You’ll be the one who makes sure we understand exactly how they work, what their problems are and that we demonstrate and then deliver the right solution to them. You’ll also be doing the demonstration, including preparation and training if necessary. In short, you will be a super-user, the one who knows everything there is to know about our tools and can configure them to even make coffee.

If you know and have used memoQ, great! If not, but have used other TM systems or have worked for an LSPs or in localization or in a similar role for other types of software, good! If you have not done any of these but think you are the kind of person who can listen well and be creative with a limited set of tools, let us know! It’s a plus if you are patient and have experience in training or teaching and are willing to go the extra mile to make sure a user is happy, even if he or she is not the easiest one of the lot.

Last but not least: you need to be able to work in a team. You’ve heard this before, we know, but we can only make a sale if you and the Sales Rep work together! In fact, you will be doing almost as much selling as he or she, so ideally, you won’t be afraid of people and therefore our clients.


In a more traditional form the Sales Support task is to:
  • Support the sales team in the sales process
  • Demonstrate memoQ to clients over web meetings
  • Participate in calls to scope clients’ needs
  • Prepare for custom tailored demonstrations
  • Support the client during the trial period
  • Deliver training to end users remotely and on-site


Additionally:

  • Provide feedback to development
  • Participate in preparing internal training
  • Prepare training material
  • Understand customers’ translation and localization workflows
  • Counsel existing and prospective customers on translation and localization workflows
  • Lead webinars
  • Carry out simple deployments of memoQ
 

What do we expect?

  • Good learning and analytical skills (the Sales Support Engineer will have to understand the logic of our software and know everything there is to know about it)
  • Fluent English and German communication and writing skills
  • A good understanding of memoQ
  • Experience with localization, translation is a plus but not needed

 

  • Location:We think working together in the same office is both fun and efficient, although we do not have a water cooler as such at the moment. Our sales team is located in Gyula, Budapest and Bonn, so ideally you are able to work at one of these locations, preferably in Budapest. We are open to discuss relocation or alternatives, as long as you can commit to spending time on a regular basis with the rest of the team.
