We are headquartered in Gyula, Hungary, with offices in Budapest and in Germany, and people in Portugal, Canada and the US. We have a diverse team of over 70 people, and we use English as the main language to communicate.

About the position

We are actively recruiting a Junior Sales Representative for our Budapest office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and strong communicator to begin a sales career with an internationally recognized leader in computer assisted translation. As this is an entry-level position, there is ample opportunity to grow into more senior roles of the business team.
The Junior Sales Representative is responsible for creation and qualification of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls/emails, and closing simple sales deals. They will collaborate with Sales Representatives, Marketing and Account Managers in the selling of CAT tools, solutions and services.


Your tasks will be:

  • Conduct structured research and qualification of both geographic and vertical markets
  • Identify prospects and decision makers of translation companies and translation buyers in strategic market segments via various research methods including, but not limited to, internet and social media searches
  • Cold-call prospects and communicate Kilgray’s portfolio and vision to initiate the sales process
  • Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from within client base
  • Collaborate with Sales Representatives, Marketing and Account Managers to determine necessary strategic sales approaches (campaign planning)
  • Qualify opportunities and collaborate with Sales Representatives in the creation of opportunity specific meeting collateral
  • Close simple deals
  • Continually expand the company’s database of prospects
  • Support marketing efforts such as trade shows, webinars, and other events


  • Excellent command of English
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Excellent telephone skills,  willingness to do cold calls
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Creative in finding prospects
  • Structured approach to follow sales processes, and keep administration tidy
  • Willingness to travel (<10%)

Preferred qualifications, skills and experiences:

  • BA/BSc in translating, interpreting, business or
  • Inside Sales experience a plus, but not required
