Kilgray is the creator of memoQ and Language Terminal - computer-assisted human translation tools used by over fifteen thousand translators and hundreds of translation companies and enterprises, including Siemens, Sega, Infor and Hasbro. Tesco’s entire content and World of Warcraft are both translated using memoQ.
We are headquartered in Gyula, Hungary, with offices in Budapest and in Germany, and people in Portugal, Poland, Slovenia, Canada and the US. We have a diverse team of over 70 people, and we use English as the main language to communicate.

About the position

Currently we are looking for a DevOps Engineer for our growing team to operate Language Terminal services and to contribute to building the best collaboration platform for the Translation Industry.

We're looking for someone who can analyze and help improve our services and processes to get us to an even higher level of availability, scalability, and reliability, whilst maintaining simplicity of design. What you'll do:
  • Monitor and operate our service.
  • Implement system management strategies optimized for rapid feedback and high availability.
  • Contribute to planning the new system architecture.
  • Identify improvements in systems management in the development process.
  • Develop platform/infrastructural services.
  • Expand service analytics/monitoring.

Fit for the position?
Rather than experience with particular tools, we really want smart and capable people who can suggest new solutions as needed. But here's what we would appreciate in your background:
  • some years of experience operating a Linux environment;
  • some years of experience with Java programming;
  • some years of experience with scripting;
  • some years of experience in systems management and software development with systems management responsibilities;
  • working experience in cloud management technologies, specifically with the AWS stack
  • experience with microservice architectures, containter technologies (e.g. docker), kibana; .NET technologies or distributed systems is a plus;
  • and as we work in an international environment, we expect candidates to have strong English skills.
