Business Development Manager (DACH)


Kilgray is looking for a Business Development Manager to further improve our market position and contribute to the company’s financial growth. In this position you work on long-term organizational strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify sales opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions. You work closely with your colleagues in the sales team and report to the Head of Global Sales to increase sales opportunities with potential new leads, follow up according to specific sales cycle stages, and ultimately convert them into clients.


About the position

The primary role is to generate business with new clients by continuously developing the pipeline of new opportunities generated by marketing tools and campaigns. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market and the solutions and services Kilgray can provide, and of the company’s competitors.

The main duties are summarized as follows:
  • Identify potential new clients and turn these into increased business according to Kilgray’s strategic goals.
  • Ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities, based on leads generated by marketing.
  • Set up trainings and on-site demos with client decision makers and specialists.
  • Plan approaches to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Handle objections by clarifying and working professionally through differences to a positive conclusion.
  • Negotiate and close according to limits and agreements defined by Sales Management.
  • Present and consult with sales management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels.
  • Identify opportunities for marketing campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
  • Use knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
  • Work with Sales Support Engineers, Professional Services Staff, Account Management and Support department to meet customer needs.
  • Ensure you represent the company in the best light and establish a strong rapport with (potential) client.
 

Requirements

  • Business Development Manager position requires experience in software and technology sales. Specific experience in translation industry is an additional bonus.
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).
  • You work from Kilgray Deutschland office in Bonn or alternatively from home office.
